Another NSU player selected for Black Sticks

Massive congratulations to Premier Women's goal keeper Brooke Roberts for being selected in the Womens Black Sticks side to face Malaysia in Taranaki next month. It will cap off big year for Brooke that has included playing in the Australian Hockey League for the NZ Futures side and the Junior World Cup currently in progress in Chile.

Good luck Brooke!

All the best to Brooke Roberts and the Womens Junior Black Sticks in the Junior World Cup in Chile. After a narrow 2-1 defeat to Belgium in their opening game they will be looking to get their first win against China tomorrow morning NZ time.

Help Johnny get to the Junior World Cup

The second of our Premier Mens players heading to the Junior World Cup in December, Johnny Thorn, is also raising funds to help cover the cost of the trip to India with this Givealittle page.

Johnny has made a huge contribution in his first season with NSU performing outstandingly well for the Premier side and also coaching the Reserve Mens side to win the Harbour Hockey Championship in 2016. The club and Johhny would appreciate any support you are able to give!

Brad Read makes Black Sticks debut

Congratulations to NSU's newest international, Brad Read, who makes his debut for the Black Sticks vs the Kookaburras tonight playing alongside Richard Joyce. Its not too late to get along and support the team at Lloyd Elsmore at 8pm tonight. Best of luck boys!

Help Brad get to the Junior World Cup

A couple of our Premier Mens players are heading to India in December with the Junior Black Sticks for the Junior World Cup. The players have to fund a large proportion of the trip themselves which is an expensive exercise so they have set up a Givealittle page to help raise some funds.

Below is the link to Brad Read's page - any support you are able to give to help him fulfil his dream would be much appreciated!

NSU named Harbour Hockey Club of the Year!

It was a fantastic night for NSU at the 2016 Harbour Hockey Awards Evening at The Spencer on Byron Hotel last night. The club won the Samurai Sportswear Harbour Hockey Club of the Year award and Kathryn Henry also won the Outstanding Contribution to Harbour Hockey award - an outstanding achievement to win two of the major awards of the evening!

AGM - Tuesday 22nd Nov 7pm

Hi all,
PLEASE NOTE: That our NSU AGM will be held on Tuesday 22nd November at 7pm at the North Harbour Hockey club rooms, in the control room.
It will only be around half an hour so if you are playing summer hockey that evening please do join us in between your games.
This is a good opportunity to hear how your club is doing financially and also to hear directly from our President Nick on the year been and plans ahead.
